Nose Contouring with makeup is an essential trick if you want to attain flawless features. “There are different techniques for specific nose shapes. To start off, get any dark shades of foundation or blushers, close to the browner tone and 2-3 shades darker than your skin tone,” suggests Pratik.

Pratik’s makeup cheat codes
Flat nose: To camouflage this slight flaw, apply a darker shade of foundation on either side of the bridge of the nose. Extend it downwards on each side of the nose, blending it well. Apply a thin line of a lighter shade of foundation down centre of the nose and blend. To correct the wide nostrils, apply a darker shade on sides of the nostrils and blend again to get the desired shape that you yearn for.

Narrow nose: If you suffer from narrow nose woes, well you’re not the only one. Even the oh-so perfect Hollywood divas, Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker are subjected to this flaw. But it’s disguised perfectly with carefully done makeup. Pratik recommends, “Use a concealer, a shade little darker than your natural skin to tone down the centre of your nose. Brush the side of your nose and nostrils with a lighter shade to get the desired wideness.”

Broad nose: People with broad noses are more likely to go under the surgical knife. But simple makeup tricks can save you from both the excruciating pain and heaps of money. Use a foundation which is one shade darker than your natural skin tone. Brush it on the side of the nose with a small yet firm makeup brush. “Start it from below the inner corners of the eyebrows and take it up to the sides of the nostrils. This will give you the fake narrow and tapered look. Stroke a lighter shade of foundation down the bridge of your nose and blend it well,” cues in Pratik.

Long nose: Got a Pinocchio nose, no fret! Use a foundation or concealer that is a few shades darker than your natural skin tone on either side of the bridge of the nose. Extend down along each side of the nose and blend. Sweep the contour down, between and around nostrils, covering the tip of the nose. The dark shade will miraculously make your nose look smaller.

Bumpy nose: A bumpy nose garners a lot of unwanted attention. But an illusion of well-proportioned nose can be created with the right application. “Use a darker foundation directly on the bump and blend well. Apply a lighter shade of foundation on either side of the bump from bridge to nostrils and blend,” suggests Pratik.
